Seems I may have got away with it. While pulling the engine I turned the primary to get the sprocket off and the piston blew the remaining bit of plug out in one clean piece. Yeeha. Time to put in my lottery ticket. So now all I have to do is heat up the remaining threaded section and ease it out with a stud extractor... without getting rust and shit into the cylinder... Simples. Or not.
